Same question, different bike. I'm writing my Class 6 in a bit and am looking at the Silverwing. Anyone have one or have experience with one? Good? Bad? Ugly? 2006 seems to be the most offered in Winnipeg ATM.

I ride an 02 Swing I love it .I have ridden it to radium hot springs and back last summer . It is hard on rear tires
they only last 10000 miles . I replaced the belt at 16000 miles because it is recommended by Honda ,It would have lasted a lot longer . I have 23000 miles and have not had anything break on it . I installed cruise control and modified the seat . I also installed brighter head lamps ,and a givi wind screen . The factory shield sucked .If you want to know anythig else PM me and I will try to answer . There is one for sale on this board .

Excellent! Thanks for the info. I will likely have one by the end of the month.

Well, looks like I extoled the virtues of the Silverwing too much during my safety course cos they all sold the weekend after I passed! Anyone else have a line on any Silverwings or other maxi-scooters? Recommendations? I think the Tmax is not right for me, but could be convinced otherwise. I'm hoping to keep the purchase price under $5k if possible.

You will just have to buy out of province .Look on Kijiji you should be able to find one in Minneapolis ,that is where I got mine for $3600 US .

Picked up a Burgman 400 over the weekend. Too bad I neglected to read the manual and realize there's two "off" positions for the key and left the lights on over night. Now I have a dead battery and no kick starter (why would they stop including those on bikes!). The adventure continues....

I did something similar the first year I had my Vino 125. I drove into the drive at home. Turned off the scoot, remembered something else I wanted to do turned the key to the on position but didn't start it because my wife came out and we started talking and decided to take the car. To shorten this tale the key was left in the on position all night and I had one dead battery the next morning. Duh!!

Did you buy brand new ? Did you get a few rides before you killed it . I almost bought one of those they are better on gas than the Silver wing .
Congrats you will love it .

I did get to ride it all weekend and it was pretty good. need a taller windscreen though.

Turns out the battery (and fuses) are fine, but still no starting or even dash lighting. Not sure what's up and going away for a week so no time to get it looked at until I return. Have not talked to the seller yet (also away) so not sure what if anything he's going to offer in way of compensation. The trials of buying used continue.
